Giovanna Naspolini é mestre e candidata ao doutorado em Planejamento Energético e Ambiental (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro). Atualmente, é consultora da Divisão de Água e Saneamento do Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento.
Giovanna Naspolini holds an M.Sc. and is a Ph.D. candidate in Energy and Environmental Planning (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). She is currently a consultant in the Water and Sanitation Division of the Inter-American Development Bank.

Graduated in Civil Engineering at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ (1999). Master in Civil Engineering, specialty area in Environmental Geotechnics, in Civil Engineering Program at COPPE/UFRJ (2005). PhD in Environmental Planning in Energy Planning Program at COPPE/UFRJ (2019). Researcher and Consultant at CENTRO CLIMA (Center for Integrated Studies on the Environment and Climate Change), COPPE/UFRJ and at GETRES (Solid Waste Study Group), COPPE/UFRJ. Researcher-Technologist in Metrology and Quality and lead assessor for accreditation and certification in INMETRO. Professional experience in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Quality and Environment Management Systems, Climate Change Studies, Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories and Scenario Studies for Mitigation of Environmental Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability.

Doutor em Engenharia de Transportes, professor Associado do Programa de Engenharia de Transporte (PET) da COPPE/UFRJ e Coordenador do Laboratório de Transporte de Carga (LTC). Pesquisador 1A do CNPq, fundador e Presidente do Instituto Brasileiro de Transporte Sustentável (IBTS) e Coordenador do Programa de Logística Verde Brasil (PLVB). Possui consolidada experiência profissional em gestão da sustentabilidade em mobilidade e logística, transporte, uso de energia e impactos ambientais e projeções futuras para uso de energia e impactos ambientais nos transportes.
PhD in Transport Engineering, Associate Professor at Transportation Engineering Program (PET), Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil, and Coordinator of the Freight Transport Laboratory (LTC). Ten years of job experience in logistics (Ipiranga Brazilian Petroleum Company, SHV Energy and Coca-Cola). Top 5 transport researcher at the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), founder and President of the Brazilian Institute of Sustainable Transport (IBTS) and Coordinator of the Brazilian Green Logistics Program (PLVB). Consolidated academic and professional experience in mobility and logistics´ sustainability and future projections for energy use and environmental impacts in transport leading contribution on Brazilian Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to reduce Green House Gas (GHG) emissions.
Collaborating Researcher at the Centro Clima (COPPE/UFRJ). She has a background in Architecture, a PhD in Energy and Environmental Planning (PPE/COPPE/UFRJ), and over thirty years of experience in research and consultancy on corporate and urban sustainability. She is interested in working with business, civil society, and government to adopt innovative management practices that contribute value to people and the planet beyond that to enable conditions for climate-resilient development. Her current work focuses on climate risk, adaptation, and resilience.

Atuou em Organizações Não-Governamentais do Sul de Minas Gerais, tem experiência na área educação ambiental, ecoturismo e lecionou no curso de Turismo da Universidade Presidente Antonio Carlos - UNIPAC e PUC Minas Poços de Caldas. Doutora em Planejamento Energético e Ambiental pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ e pesquisadora do Laboratório Interdisciplinar de Meio Ambiente - LIMA/COPPE/UFRJ na área de Planejamento Ambiental e Energético.
